Let Me Sing a Song For You

When mother lights up the fireplace and father reminisces about the golden days past, let me sing a song for you. When sister weaves a shawl of rainbow hues and strings of pearls slide down her cheeks, let me sing a song for you. When merry voices are heard in the streets below ushering in the heady festive season but Santa will bring no gifts for you, let me sing a song for you. Let my song echo past the watchful ferryman, across the forbidden sea. Upon a serene valley or a howling moor you dwell I know not, brother dear, but let my song soothe your soul.
