Lessons From the Carousel
One day there was a Carousel
A "Special One" of course!
That taught "this" pretty little girl
A lesson! Of a sort!
The Carousel was so Beautiful!
Unique in everyway!
With horses going round and round
All while the music played!
But there was something different
About this Carousel
It had a "challenge with it!
Of which, I now will tell!
You see it had a wooden arm
that extended to its riders
To let them reach out gingerly,
A "SILVER RING" to acquire!!
For many years, I was too
small to even reach the "RING"!
But, Dad just kept telling me-
The "Silver Ring" you must "Desire"!
Everytime I rode it,
I tried a little harder.
To reach the "RING"
out of my reach....
Thank Goodness for my Father!
Then! One day! "I DID IT!"
I HAD A "SILVER RING"!
It trully was so wonderful
And to it I did CLING!
My Dad he looked so Proud of me!
And I was Proud of him!
He was the one who helped me get-
THAT "PRECIOUS" SILVER RING!
Now, he's gone!
But, I know now...
The lesson this has taught!
As I sat up upon that horse
And for "THAT RING" I fought!
You see, in life there are some things
That are JUST OUT OF YOUR REACH!
If you, with strength, just "HOLD ON TIGHT"
YOU'LL GET THAT "SILVER RING"!!
THE "RING" IS ALL OUR HOPES AND DREAMS.
THE THINGS WE MOST "DESIRE"!
SO HOLD ON TIGHT!
AND DON'T LET GO!
AND "YOUR RING" YOU WILL ACQUIRE!
DEDICATED TO MY FATHER: FOR ALL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT HE GIVE ME
IN LIFE!!!
