Leather Jacket

It was the eve of January 1st We were taking our usual walk, The temperature was dropping but we didn't pay heed Amidst our forever lovely talk. Then in a matter of time it grew extremely cold Uncontrollably, my teeth began to chatter. He took off his leather jacket and put it on my shoulders Well, in an instant that solved the matter! I felt great warmth inside me, Was as excited as winning a prize; Happiness and love rushed through my veins, Wrapped in a jacket twice my size. I was not able to hide my feelings anymore, Still I was unsure if he loved me too or not, I stood still and decided to find out once in for all But pouring rain suddenly cut the thought. I started to run for shelter but stopped, When I heard him shout, “I love you” Clutched the jacket tight as I raced back to him This was a surely a dream come true. Speechless, I nodded smiling, And tiptoed till my nose touched his Then pulled the jacket over our heads So that the rain wouldn't disturb our kiss.
