Last Words

No time to say No last word play No poise to stay No new array Nor fond display You've gone away No more fine thoughts No subtle plot No choice to spot Last words echo A sparkling glow As farewells go No wise words now No pulse somehow No more endow No more words come Death's final sum A chilling numb Cold stillness merge Silence floods surge A final urge Frozen this pain Most clearly plain As last words drain Leon Enriquez 08 April 2015 Singapore

Leon, Startling. Where do all of the poems keep coming from? Mine are in my mind each morning when I wake up. Jim Horn

Dear James: The ideas come non-stop. I have to decide what poem I am going to write. That's my take. If I try to write and it does not flow, I stop. I find another time in the day when the poetry flows more spontaneously. Then, I get back to writing. Leon
