Laissez-Faire Lovers

We keep to ourselves all our deepest affection from a misguided notion that hearts need protection. We offer love slowly and use great precaution, when we ought to race and should love to exhaustion. For no moment passes…not a singular one, whether under the all-seeing glare of the sun or the soft, cool gaze of uninterested stars, that death ceases pursuit of what we think is ours, then 'ere we are ready, it claims from our hands all of the people we thought that we’d have ...to hold for another day.
