La Dame Et Mobile

It was an opera a tale for singing I never heard the words My ears were ringing On old time radio There was a Shadow I tried so hard To emulate him I sang Bells rang I listened some more and then just when It opened a door And caught Enrapt In music 's enthrall I sang and sang As if at a ball The magic of the notes Within a child's mind echoed on through my years Until I had to find A tune to satisfy My soul so hungry It's there I know It's there on my tongue The words I sang When I was so young © 2008 Donald Me

Is your title a play on 'La Donna e Mobile' from Verdi's Rigoletto? Woman is fickle indeed! K.

Ah! ...the magic and the mystery of music! There's a phrase in D.H. Lawrence's poem, 'Piano;' ...the insidious mastery of song.' Ain't it the truth! A splendid piece my friend... Best wishes, Keith
