Knit Wit

Well is it a wonder That I like to Crochet And purl After all I am a writer and have always enjoyed a good yarn The rhyming, the rhythm The soft sigh of wool against The needles So right Tight Loosen my grip On life On reality On nothing Spinning that into something And feeling the stress slip away Thanks so much Mandy, What more can I say?

I was going to say Welcome to PoetrySoup but I see you've actually been here for sometime and it is my loss that I haven't been paying attention until your welcome comment arrived. Sorry ... smile ... except for the reference to Mandy I could really identify with this write. I take needle work to my A.A. meetings and somehow it helps me to listen better ... smile ...

I really really love the comparisons with Poetry and Crochet Autumn, gosh I would never have thought of that, but indeed the two are so alike and that came out in your wonderful words.. Thankyou for your comments on my poem..

This is great Autumn ... I really like the way you've tied the two forms of art together since I too crochet and really get the connection to writing but probably never would have made this in the way you have!!

Love this Autumn, I am one who loves to crochet as well (currently working on a blanket for hubby, hopefully I will have it done by Christmas!) and I can really relate to the stress part, it does feel comforting to crochet and let it all slip away. Beautifully written! and love this part "After all I am a writer and have always enjoyed a good yarn." hehe this was really cute! God bless and loved reading it, Amy :)
