Moonlight irks the beast disrupts slumber, illuminates retnas red as coals, bright as fire in darkness hard to catch glimpses of. Crooked cane legs, dexterious to the T She trains her offspring to rise to the occasion Trains them to murder, ravage, prey Penetrated by young. Weaknesses unexplained to each Such that they derive from No love though same effect, affect Consumed. succumb to nature, succumb to instinct not give in, but Become, Learn Put forth effortless thoughts Be the yearner, the stalker, the hunter, not the hunted.

Deep thoughts, Peter. There are man who prey upon the weak, so we all strive to be strong. Somehow I had images of a panther or large cat of some kind. Animals stalk for food, but it always puzzles me why man seems to attack for no obvious reason. Love your poetry, Peter. Carolyn
