Job

Job; a man of many troubles For a few months in his life Endured much pain and sorrow Even great loss of life He was the richest man That then the world had known But Satan hatched a plan To destroy and to dethrone God put limits to his plan Before Satan could proceed Jobs life he could not take To this rule he must heed He took all that Job had Not a thing was left behind Took his children and his health It was an awful time Friends came to comfort him At least that's why they said they came The kept telling Job it was his fault That's why he now was poor and lame Debate upon debate Job had with each of them He asked "why'd God create me "I should have never been Now God would not forsake Though Jobs wife urged him to For God gives and takes away To Him my love stays true Though his heart was true He question why this had to be He thought he'd always live right But now look woe is me Finally God would speak He asked Job, "where were you When the earth was made Tell me what did I do?" Where were you Job tell me When I set the stars in sky Job tell me where were you? You know you cannot lie." Where were you Job tell When the seas were formed Now tell me if you can Tell me when they were born "Now see Leviathan Have you ever tamed the beast How about Behemoth Whose strength will not cease Job give me an answer This is my command you Job said I not worthy I know not what to do Now God liked his answer Jobs pride it now was gone Then he said to Jobs friends Follow all Jobs been shone They sacrificed to Him Seven bulls and seven lambs Seeking God's forgiveness Only as a person can Now God healed Jobs illness Gave him double what he had Gave him seven lassies Gave him three strong lads No ladies then on earth Had beauty like these found When they had children Jobs feet they came around Now Job would still live longer One hundred and forty years Seeing great grand children His life was free of tears
