Jehanne

Who is this girl knelt at my throne
Born on the eve Epiphany?
Perhaps a gift that God hath sewn?

A peasant farmer's child was she,
Guided by her holy visions;
Born on the eve Epiphany.

Urged on by Charles in Royal Commission,
Her forces marched to Orleans and won
Guided by her holy visions.

Her victories had just begun
So in her death would be a saint;
Her forces marched to Orleans and won.

In future courts there lodged a plaint,
No traitor was young Joan of Arc,
So in her death would be a saint.

For God's will she lived and fought.
Who is this child knelt at my throne?
No traitor was young Joan of Arc,
Perhaps a gift that God hath sewn?

    A brilliant ode to the brave lady Joan of arc..indeed a gift of God to the society and the world which still embrace her memory.
