It's Not Worth Fighting

Your tongue, it’s sharpened like a razor It cuts so deep upon each blow The verbal onslaught of destruction Is something you will never know For retaliation is not the answer I will not lower myself to you Continue on, if it’s your liking But I will stand, so strong and true When you’re done and lips are tired I will then just walk away To give you time to come to senses In hopes that it will save the day And if you come to say you’re sorry I will not turn my back to you Nor will I try to strike in anger For I still hold our love as true
