It's Not a Forever Thing
If you think life will go on forever
Got news for you my dears
Thought that too, when I was a young'un
Did I get a boot in the rear
When all of a sudden reality sets in
Hey life's not an infinite fling
There's a start, a middle and an ending
It's not a forever thing
Be that as it may, it's a fabulous run
Nothing else comes even close
Once we recognize and accept that fact
We're able to deal with life's woes
The happier you are and more content
You'll be much more able to cope
With the everyday trials and tribulations
That make us happy blokes
So take this advice I send you with love
Learned during my time on earth
It's totally up to each and every one of us
Our choice is sadness or mirth
