Island In the Sea
Waters never tell a lie
When silent Ghost ships sail on by,
Underneath the starlit sky
Sometimes how they seem to fly
And try to land on thee.
Butterflies do grace this land.
Not one footprint spoils your sand.
Palms like soldiers standing grand
On my island in the sea.
Winds from north at your front door
Caressing you for evermore.
Foamy suds they line your shore
From waves that come and go encore
And gently flow on thee.
A waterfall streams on your hill
Crashing down your waters spill;
As I know they always will
On my island in the sea.
In the meadow stallions run,
Knowing soon this day is done.
Birds are soaring having fun
Watching a glorious setting sun
Going down on thee.
Quietly the song of whale
Echoes softly in your Dale,
As night time brings its darkening veil
On my island in the sea.
