Infused Technicalities

Trapped 'tween adjectives' objections succumbed to long-windedness, snared 'neath an expanse of circumlocution, paraphrasing periphrases buried under layers of infused technicalities, all in a day's multiformity working midst the sublimity of poetry's madness

I absolutely love your play on words, Paloma. I really like the alliterative "paraphrasing periphrases" bit. I also really love the word "circumlocution" - didn't know what it meant till I read this poem and looked it up. I think in the world of poetry - or at least on this website, we are really exposed to new ways of thinking-new scopes of perspective. There's a frustration sometimes that we cannot figure out a line or two of work...but thinking harder isn't necessarily a bad thing...

Sometimes longwinded poetry can be overwhelming to the reader. Technicalities and complications can frustrate some and take away from the piece. But ultimately when it is done skillfully, and purposefully, it can have the opposite effect on us---or if it is dissected and explained. Hehe I'm drifting I know, just some thoughts flowing through as I read this. I like your work a lot... it gets my mind going. Keep it up! Speaking of long winded things, I should shut up now... lol Always, Laura

But words are fun--a poet's playground. Older (old) now, I leave entire truth to their rightful owners--philosophers and the clergy, myself enjoying the occasional lie of behaving delightfully flawed. Another wonderful read! Thank you for sharing.
