Ineptitude
I lie in a bed of intimidating despair,
wallowing in sheets of hopelessness,
blanketed by overwhelming failure,
pillowed by lack of empowerment.
I wrestle with unachievable dreams
that unfold into realistic nightmares,
bleeding into my awakened spirit,
rendering me exhausted and ruined.
Burdened by the weight of ineptitude,
I remain shackled to merciless anguish,
unable to reclaim the bold courage
required to face an un-repenting society.
