Incomparable Me
Is my sin somehow worse than yours?
Does it some how offer you strength?
Is that perch really so high?
I have been knocked off of many perches
My greatest sadness has come from comparisons
The times I felt superior
The times I some how felt I was less
Always someone was higher
Others were also lower
If only in my own mind
Some made me feel stronger, faster, smarter
Others said I was not worthy
Who was I to believe?
It always seemed easier to believe the least
It required less work
Low expectations could always be met
In the end is anyone comparable
All are uniquely different
No one in the history of man will ever be the same
I will not strive to be you
I embrace myself
I will witness the evolution of me
The incomparable me
