Incomparable Me

Is my sin somehow worse than yours? Does it some how offer you strength? Is that perch really so high? I have been knocked off of many perches My greatest sadness has come from comparisons The times I felt superior The times I some how felt I was less Always someone was higher Others were also lower If only in my own mind Some made me feel stronger, faster, smarter Others said I was not worthy Who was I to believe? It always seemed easier to believe the least It required less work Low expectations could always be met In the end is anyone comparable All are uniquely different No one in the history of man will ever be the same I will not strive to be you I embrace myself I will witness the evolution of me The incomparable me

Very interesting write, Richard. I'm trying to tease with something witty, but....I fall short. Yes...incomparable you, indeed! I second that. ;)

I am so honored to be the first to comment on this, Richard. I just love Free verse, because somehow the heart always finds a way to speak! This is not just awesome and beautiful... our uniqueness shows us how beautiful God is, encompassing all, accepting all; different yet the same!! This I will add to my favs.! Always, annalise
