In My Soul

I been thinking about you all morning I just love you to no end I been singing you song of welcome Bring your spirit into this place Breathe on me with your presence of grace and mercy I love you If I take my eyes off you and your pleasures My life’s light is dimmed with inequity You were on my mind this morning when I rolled over I said I love you and thank you When I got in the car I sang out loud with other people in cars watching Tears ran down my face when I realized I forgot to say thank you for my blessings My heart breaks when I realize it’s been too long since I opened up my heart to you If I didn’t have you I don’t know where I would be I don’t want to know what it is to be without you You are my obsession My fulfillment I just let my mind talk to my heart and it educates it on the direction in which to find true love There is no one else There won’t be anyone else Lord you are omnipotent Lord you are omnipresent I just ask you my love to just let me be able to reach for your fingertips O’God Let me lay in you footprints you leave on the beaches of heaven Lord Can I just be the lint on your toga Father? Let me be the one to wake up dead spirits and enlighten them with your glory Let me be the one to stand on your word where all can be a witness to my faith in your promise God I ask that you deliver me from the sins of the world Make my heart a vessel of the passion of righteousness and benevolence Lord I ask that you fulfill my circle of life with positivity and serenity Teach me to be truthful so I can shame the devil I can’t make it without you and I won’t try Lord give me spilling of the heart so I can share not only my trials but my defeats I love you I need you thank you Your Child
