Impossible To Measure

Fueling fledgling fantasies, love spins threads of trust into rope. For it's a unique emotion imbuing lonely souls with hope. Like a mystical elixir, it heals hurting hearts filled with pain. And fanning smoldering embers raises sex to another plane. When its magic enters your heart, a sweet smile appears on your face. And as your anxieties fade, doubt disappears without a trace. Taking you on life's greatest quest, love levies a personal toll. And yet, despite the pain it brings, it's craved by both body and soul. Love is oft indescribable, transcending any known pleasure. An extraordinary feeling; it's impossible to measure! (Quatrain) 5/27/2015

I love the way you always start your poems with something special. In this case it is the alliterations in the first line. Love the rhythm in this poem, Emile.

My brother a priest once listened to me as I raved on about love then finally he leaned over to me and said, "Judy, how do you measure love?" I went into a silent mode and he leaned over again and whispered, "You can't"....so thank you for the memory and the lovely poetry.....
