I Wish
I wish ...
Dearly beloved
I know not too many flattery words, but if I may then I should say;
You are as a shooting star, oh how I am continually persuaded to wish whenever I see you from afar.
More often I wish I knew of your existence, & between us I wish there lied no distance. They say “it’s better late than never,” but …
Wish I had met you first, let you feel the beat from my chest.
More than just a heartbeat, kind of feels like a rhythm of love.
Wish heaven knew I’d fall hard for you, & prepared comfortable your heart.
Wish I knew how to get to you, the map to your heart.
Wish I knew to be unique or better yet peculiar, so as to have you not say: ah, all men are the same.
Wish I knew to act better, raising no doubts; like maybe it’s just a game.
Wish I knew of a method with which I could prove …
-That my words are indeed true.
Wish I knew all you would want, & lavish you before you could even ask.
I wish it was the other way, when you said you were already taken
I wish there was another day, when you’d say it was mistaken
And how many more wishes have I if you asked?
Countless; I’d say, but the figures matter less.
There’s one too many, but all in all
I just wish I had you, Darling!
