I Wish

In my chair, near my table, my head in one hand and a pen in the other. drifting in the vastness of thoughts, poking my forehead for the words to flow from my mind on to the paper and take shape in ink. waiting for an inspiration or a motivation or may be a call from my girlfriend, her sweet innocent voice into my ears they fall like honey drops from heaven lifting my spirits, clearing my vision and freeing my soul, in merriment i dance. tremble in her songs when she sings for me, i join in the song and in merriment i dance. i have no care for the world even for a single moment when she is around me, in merriment i dance. but away when she goes surrounding me in loneliness, solitude becomes my friend and sadness my companion. longing to see her smile, in pain i may be i want to see her laugh, her tears are what i embrace and her love is what i wish.
