I Was There
On the first day that our fate crossed.
'til the day our love grew.
When God sent us four gifts of love,
I was there.
In times of struggle and emptiness,
The world seemed so hard to please.
When you needed a hand for you to lift,
I was there.
I was there,
Thru thick and thin.
In sickness and in health.
'til this life drift away.
I was there,
When your voice tears my bones.
When you're out of control.
I was there with a grieving soul.
And when you realize my importance,
The essence of this woman in your life.
If you learned how to love....
You'll find me patiently waiting.
I'm still there.
