I Was Born In May

I do not know why I was born in May When lilac blossomed. It was very noisy. The tulips bloomed, The echo brought The roar of the far oceans, Birds were singing songs that night, Summer lightning flamed, rain of flowers poured. The bees drank noisily from lime vines, And everyone repeated the magic name: «Dina!» Only the rowan-tree cried Because she had understood. Dina is her sister.
