I Need Thee

when did i first learn that i needed thee oh that terrible day i spent with out thee i was like a ship in a desert as useless as i was wasted feeling came over me a fish out of water flopping around with no way to reach water all i could do was drown backwards a man in the desert, many days without water coming to realize the uselessness of all the worlds riches the poor child on Christmas Eve who's parents pockets were empty yet his heart full of wishes images of miracles so true in the movies and in less than 24 hours his parents night mare arrive oh sad day and woe is me for the day i find that i've lost thee
