I Lost a Poem

I heard a poem inside my head. But as I dozed, my poem fled. It drifted off and I think I know, where my poem chose to go. Because while I slumbered in my bed, it found a home in you instead!

Well done! This poem explains my problem. I wonder why we always get lots of ideas before sleeping? /Blackmatta

Hi, Black Matta, Yes, if you snooze you lose! Same thing about night dreams, most of mine flee when I wake. I have a pad and pen by my bed and force myself to wake when I am in the middle of a sleep poem. I am getting better at it, so there is hope. But as I said in one of my poems, I wish someone would invent a sleep recorder so we can replay our dreams when we wake. ~~Darlene
