I Have Forgotten What I Did Last Night
He asked, "What did you do last night?"
I murmered that I stayed home and is that alright.
Remembering dreaming about him, my spirit taking flight.
"Were you with him?" he now began,
"Him who?" for that question I had no plan.
"That guy you like, I saw you together in Iran." muttered him.
For his question an answer I couldn't decide,
To go into length and from there on out, no longer hide.
An honest answer and to save my pride.
Or just shrug it off and keep my answer stuffed up inside.
I shrugged and said I had forgotten
Forgotten, you were in a jam
Were you lost or in the slam
Nope I just plain forgot
There is no plan no plot
I was with him, you I taught
Him I sought
