I Have a Reason
I have a reason,
And I will tell you once I think of it
There's a purpose,
And I'll tell you once I dream of it,
But I am warning you right now-
Once the answers reach your eager ears,
I'm afraid, like a dream,
There will be gaps and blurs
I was abducted,
That much I know
I was handled, violated,
But not in the way you're probably thinking...
Because I was smiling,
And I was so thirsty for more
It was like an uncomfortable inner tickle,
Followed by a nasty, unsettling warmth,
Then an excruciating burn
And then...nothing
Just nothing
I woke up in my bed,
Felt sore, and drained,
My thoughts echoing in my brain-
Am I really here?
Do I exist?
And why?
I will tell you why,
The moment I have the answer.
The moment they tell me why
I wake up every single night at 2am,
Wondering if they'll take me again
Who, you ask?
But, who are we?
Surely they exist
Because of you and me
I have a reason,
I swear I will tell you,
But once the answer reaches your ears,
It will be too late
Just wait and see
I have a reason,
And the reason is,
You and me
