I Had To Drink
Time to cry? Time to realise?
Look at what you've done
You've killed someone
Go ahead and cry
Perhaps you had to drink?
Perhaps you had to drive?
Is that the reason why?
That young man there has died?
Oh, sorry....it's your friend who was in the wrong?
Not you? It was his turn to pay?
How much was the drink?
Two, three, four pounds? Well....hey!
That's worth a life, wouldn't you say?
You wish you hadn't now?
Made your friend pay?
Hindsight is so strange?
His loved ones have to know, they'll find out today
Why their son has gone, so very, very far away.
Imagine what they'll think?
Imagine what they'll say?
When we tell them you HAD to drink because your friend had to PAY.
