I Had a Dream
Tiss true I had a dream one night
Of a beauty whom longed only for me
She was dressed in white satin
Her voice so soft, she spoke in old Latin
Her heart she poured out like wine
We hugged as we intertwined
Her desires she whispered, into the wind
She was a dream, I desired to win
So red roses I laid at her door
With wine and sonnets and desires galore
Enchanted I was, as she voice rang above
With angels singing her praises
With a wounded heart, she fled to her castle
Out of breath, there were no more tomorrows
She wallowed deep within her own sorrows
So all I could do, was to be the fool
I kissed her lips from afar
Even she hid in her den of sin
Then I shed a tear, or more it seems
For this sadness I shall call a dream
