I Find Night Soothing
I find night soothing
no disturbances
the phone silent
every moment sacred
for what is not said
Of course
I'm not so naive to think
that anyone is truly alone
thoughts prone to chatter
alien as a foreign language
or clear as the devil
whispering doubt of God
into my ears
