Hurt
Hurt, my one true friend
settle me down because here I go again
the favors people choked off until the end
they martyred the good wits of many wise men
the truth until death we shall defend
ashes to ashes, dust to dust
I can’t quit although they tell me I must
my faith is as strong as that of a hopeless man but my heart and soul cannot disband
from that of which brought me here to be a part of his plan
true wisdom tastes sour to the tongue
but it has saved the lives of many men old as well as young
so I must part with this friend I hold so very close to me
if I wish to witness peace for all eternity
