Human Emotions
I long to hold it in my hand
that I may watch it fly away.
What is here with us tomorrow
is often gone from us today.
Confused feelings occur
leading on even more.
Abandoned dreams implore
for another encore.
Willing time to restore
desire new as before
proves a bruising chore.
Alas, hearts do turn sore.
Growing with our feelings
we also weave a course;
full of scary dealings,
we forget we have choice.
Running and then walking,
seeking a secure pace,
emotions are ruler ...
we are the human race.
