How Long, O Lord - Psalm 13: 1-6

O God where are you? have you forgotten me? I can't see your face where can it be? My hearts sore with sorrow each and every day the enemy looks down on me how long will it be that way? O Lord speak clearly to me help me from this plight lighten up my eyes take the darkness from the night Don't let my enemy win for they'll rejoice in that leaving me all shaken up bound down and flat But your steadfast love I trust rejoicing in your salvation for you've dealt with me graciously so I sing to the Lord with elation AUTHOR NOTES: How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken. But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me. Psalm 13 vs 1-6(ESV)

Gordon: Thanks for commenting on my poem about the Statue of Liberty. I just read your work on Psalm 13. What a great reminder to us in these perilous times. I admire your willingness to show Christ in your life.
