How Bad Was My Poem and I
How Bad Was My Poem and I
If I at least were to have any humor at all,
How much might it be or seem so small?
Up for each poem would have to buckle
Because it would barely raise a chuckle.
What whole thing down to really did come
Poem was boring appearing to be ho hum
One I had ever wrote from the very start;
I was so badly sad and it broke my heart.
Poem was written randomly and complacent
And impossible for you to find a replacement
Maybe might have made million or more tries
Was literally impossible to win a Pulitzer Prize.
Now for play on words and an ignorant pun
Suppose if for President I were to really run
Begged, pleaded and out to all tried to reach
Later use this poem in my acceptance speech.
Dearly beloved my poem may move you today
Trying to say things no one else will ever say
And possibly bring out some startling fact
For one more term no one would want me back.
