Hope's Waning
YDaydreaming of falling in love,
you think about it all of time.
And find yourself wishing for wings
to escape anxiety's climb.
In this state of unhappiness,
you seek what you never possessed.
And anger fuels depression,
leaving you feeling tired and stressed.
Innocent fantasies flourish,
played out within romantic dreams.
And passion's flame burns in your heart,
muting the sound of silent screams.
Magic still exists in your world,
although reality's gaining.
For it is hard to stay smiling
when time's ticking and hope's waning.
