Homeless

Sitting in the shop doorway People often stare They don't know that I'm hungry And they probably don't care I'm not an alcoholic And in drugs I am not stuck I'm just a normal person Who is down upon their luck So when your in your homes tonight Spare a thought for me You sleep in a nice warm bed Me below a tree So if you pass me by today And our eyes perhaps should meet Please spare me some pocket change And that way I can eat

A most sensitive approach to an all pervasive problem... Well rhymed with a flow which adds to the helplessness these folks must feel... Best wishes, Keith
