the witches broom, it holds the score, dodge persecution, yet some once more, witching spell could close the door, large carved face confounding...:)

liked this, very vivid. "his large carved face" is a great phrase, simple and solid and captures the mood and meaning so well. "confounds" should be "confound" if the subject is "spells", as I assume it is.
