Hidden Tears
His indifference was merely a façade.
His head turned from me and light,
But almost hidden tears were seen,
Because of misty light outside.
And I reach out.
His fingers trail droplets as if tears,
While I watch him mesmerised,
Knowing inside him hidden fears
Fight with composure, like the tide.
And I reach out.
The gesture frozen in mid-air,
For he is not really there.
His image lingering all around.
And through the misty frame I stare,
I should have shown how much I care,
But he is nowhere to be found.
