Her Friends Call Her Sun Tea

Her Friends Call Her….. Sun Tea O the glass jar waits for time To turn her tea inside sublime She takes her place among clay pots Of Parsley, Bay leaf, Bergamot Her friends have flown in from above The Blue Jay, Cardinal, Mourning Dove They sing! They dance! They gesture wildly! Her amber liquid, did Sun kiss mildly! And passing clouds with thunderous glee Watch glass & Sun turn time to tea And as the day bows to the night She lifts her lid, pours sweet delight! Father’s Day…..’10 Sharing a sunny morning with my potted and feathery friends, and my special guest, Sun Tea

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. My grand father made sun tea throughout the summer when I was a child in Alabama. Something I hadn't thought about in a long time. Thank you for this piece. Monica

Excellent expressiveness and descriptiveness that you have penned in these couplets...Add a little Bergamont to that tea and let it steep in the sun for added flavor...Let the inspiration flow onto the page and delight us with your work..Sara
