Helpless
Sitting here beside you,
Just holding your small hand,
Feeling rather useless,
You do not understand.
Dozing like an angel,
Your breathing rather low,
Watching every breath you take,
Your cheeks are all aglow.
Your head is burning,
The fever keeps you hot,
Tears are rolling down my face,
Leave you I will not.
Waiting for the moment,
That you will smile again,
Recognise your surroundings,
And be without your pain.
Please don`t leave me,
I don`t want to lose your love,
Stay with me forever,
Like a hand inside a glove.
You will get through this babe,
I will have you home once more,
Never leave my side again,
Because you I do adore.
