Helping Hands
Broken down beautiful,
Oh fellow man.
Marred by neglect,
In barren land.
The worlds flickering candle,
Casts desperate glow.
Imperfections of existence,
Not too proud to show.
Thought insignificant commodities,
Played by their state.
Brushed under the carpet,
In greed’s bitter haste.
Weeping left wanting,
Cast by the wayside.
Hungry, downtrodden,
Too many tears cried.
Suffering and illness,
Starved to the bone.
Loosing their loved ones,
No comfort of home.
We give to a good cause,
Pledge from the heart.
Forget our own worries,
Give the needy a start.
