Heavens War!

A flaming bow of agonies arrows Precisionistly launched into the night Penetrating at will, an endless column of lives Bleeding souls, bound in flesh, of their imprisoned sight.... Walls of blackness, where they stand and face, the executioners aim Unable to see beyond this realm, these eyes, the truth of all things Caught in a sphere, of glimpses that shimmer to their fade Kingdoms beyond their visions, blinded unto, as they have their way.... To escape these grippings, that squeeze the light from their lives Beating hearts which lay buried, beneath these suffocating graves But it does not have to be this way? If only they can enter, the lantern of faith! To search through the caverns, of darkened night For the key to the treasure, that shall guide them beyond this life For to only behold the black and the gray The twirling twisting shadows, which lie in their way Is but a sepulchre, towards tomorrows, ultimate fall.... To have pastellus pastels, painted, within colors and hues both dark and bright Flickering embers of ashes, deceivinlgly, pasted upon their eyes While reaching through fog, clinging to walls, and, stumbling through life Caught within this realm, countless souls-the unknowing, of this flesh.... Barely breathing, and clutching tightly, begging, for their lives To awaken from this dream, to arise beyond this night To see the kingdoms which do stand, afore their blurried eyes Shall in the end become the difference, between tombs, and paradise!? The unveiling of faith, the unmasking of sight.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Heavens War!

Hi John, Heaven's War, indeed! In this poem, I see the angels battle, just as mankind does. And surely we all strive to see the light as we cling to walls and stumble through life. Outstanding work, John! And thanks for your comments on "She-Demon Expelled." If the police ever find this woman she'll be locked away for decades - forgery, fraud, grand theft, breaking & entering and much more. This man deserves a break as he was trying to save her and her mother. Love, Carolyn

some times it seems like were "keeping score" God's prophetic message 1 them nothing and on and on. You know the score and watch with an eye like mine the prophetsies falling into place. the rapture is almost here, brother. i try to write about but get a little lost for words when i try. John

You put alot of thought and emotion into this poem. You have alot of good imagery and metophor. I could see this a couplets or quatrain. The thought process is here but take it to the next step and you will have a great poem here. Check out "forms of poetry" up top and you will see what I mean, then you will kind of know what kind of poem it is. Thanks for sharing, I am not an expert by any means, but love to learn and share all I can about poetry. Judy Riley
