Heaven’s Place
Rocky road
Rough terrain
Will I make it through?
I hope it doesn’t rain
Bags packed, have my gear
Water, bags, everything near
People passing by
They don’t even say “hi”
I just look up
and take a look
I keep climbing to the top
Got to make it, cannot stop
Sun is shining, no rain in sight
Just keep going, that is my plight
Birds flying overhead, music to my ears
I look up to see what is near
Soon I will reach the top, what’s up there?
Just breathe in the fresh air
I see it just ahead
The mountains, the beauty...
God’s journey was my guide
So, I took it and followed it in my mind
The beauty, the wonder full of grace
This must be Heaven’s Place.
