Heartfelt

For all the thoughts that lost their pull For reasons good and reasons cruel I stand a shell of who I was But shells are beautiful, just because Tossed and turned through years of waves Wading, for the tides must change This small crustacean drifts ashore Smoother now for all it saw

"I stand a shell of who I was But shells are beautiful, just because..." I absolutely love those lines; and can certainly relate to the sentiment. Very heartfelt. Hugs, Kim

A poem with hidden meanings that flaunts reality and taps into our desires to be entertained by abstract thoughts. Emile. #7

An excellent piece that has meaning with differing parallels. The graceful muse of a once beautiful woman, gradually grown old or someone forever changed by a traumatic event who acknowledges the mellowing effect that time has had on them, Over time.
