Heart of Stone

Was it really all that long ago when we stood before the crowd Vowing our love to each other aloud? Ambitions and vows together don't always go I'm sure you thought that I would know So here am I, head bare and bowed. Perhaps it was just an innocent faze. I thought you would be happy if we were rich, Instead I pushed you deeper into that ditch I didn't emerge to you from that dark, dark haze... Or was it the middle of an unsolvable maze? Entangled now, in my created nitch. I sometimes think of the life we could have known But like you, I'm left with a HEART OF STONE.
