He Lied

She feels her life is over And lost everything she’s loved. He promised her forever Then went back on his word. He told her that he loved her And that she was his world. He couldn’t live without her And together they would be. She thought they’d be together Until the day they died. He told her they’d be forever Then figured out he lied. She figured out he lied About everything and love. Not knowing which side But knew that it was true. It’s been about a year Since the last time they talked. She hadn’t shed a tear Until the day he called. He told her that he loved her And that she was his world. He couldn’t live without her And together they should be. Now she’s all confused Her mind is a mess. She knows that she still loves him But their love had gone west. She’s so far in love now That she is in a bind.
