He Deserves a Moment of Our Time

He Deserves a Moment of Our Time. On the cross He hung & bled. When taken down . . . He was dead. But in the grave He would not stay, O’er even death, He’d have His sway. Now He sits at God’s right hand, Through Spirit’s power, rules our land. He died for sinners. . . you and me, For in the end.. . . Judgment will be. But there’s a thing that you must do. If in “The End “this works for you. Accept Him now, o’er sin & strife, Then you may have eternal life. Then as a token of your thanks, As you pause for hot beef shanks. You might say some words of Grace. Before you stuff your pudgy face. Written by oldbuck After he had seen a young family, say a short blessing together in a busy eating place. It didn’t take long, but I’m sure the Lord was smiling.

And, just a little spark like a family praying over dinner can remind us that there are still humble and God loving people in this world. At times when everyone seems hateful or bitter. I loved your poem, thank you, Old Buck!

Jesse: Thank you for a kind and thoughtful response. We all write for varied/many reasons, of course mine is that I truly enjoy the mental exercise and even better when someone will find some pleasure/inspiration from my silly rhymes. Thanks again for responding. oldbuck

Olive: Now you see my rhymes are pretty simple. Most are either religious or just plain silly. I'm glad you got some enjoyment from this one. Thanks for the thoughtful comment. oldbuck
