Haunted Mansion
Down the long lane to love lost
Lie silver times covered in dust
Mansion of misty memoirs
Stands amidst stale desires
Built upon romantic strains of musical moods
Now over melancholy tunes, history broods
Haunted by ghosts of phantom love
An eerie essence rules the skies above
Immortal love reflected in ornate frames
When sepia of memories lie in graves
Seasons have faded away, only fall remains
Red roses have wilted away, only thorns pain
Dancing upon aching notes and melancholy tunes
Autumn winds whisper tales of heartbroken ruins
When spring was young and drunk with desires
Flowers of love blossomed, fantasies aglow with fires
Then came summers, hot in their grace
Reveled in the warmth of your embrace
Passions rained down, drenching our souls
Cherish your wet kisses, caresses and cajoles
Winter chills, frost of cold memories
Brought frozen feelings with icy breeze
Upon tombstones are engraved
Legends of forgotten love, unread.
