Hankering

I’m hankering to leave To lightly tread upon the resilient clover hiding from the path To touch the soft moss frosting on the garden rocks To search for footprintless paths and linger in the stillness To listen to the breath of the salty wind To mentally needlepoint the stars To follow the bird’s chant To float among the dandelion seeds To dream of countless tomorrows and cherish countless yesterdays Won’t you join me?
