Hands of Fate
Hands of Fate…
It’s month to month and week to week
It’s day to day and hour to hour
Minute to minute and one second to the next
Breath to breath is how I’m living now
The frailty of life apparent
The strength of heart and mind expent
In the hands of fate, I look to find my destiny…
Years of work and endless searching
Have brought me to this empty space
A void, and I’m lost frozen in fear
Unable to see beyond and what may await me there
The frailty of life apparent
The will of heart and mind expent
In the hands of fate, I wonder what will become of me…
Not the man I used to be, just a shadow on the wall
An echo from an unknown voice, I cannot break my silence
I fall to my knees with hands held high seeking absolution
To shed self-condemnation and again to rise above it all
The frailty of life apparent
My inner will and strength expent
In the hands of fate, I wait to meet my destiny…
