Halloween Mask
Day by the day, as summer's to diminish,
the day loses strength as the sky darkens by the minute.
Do we dress in what we want to be,
or what we thought has escaped us.
A true spirit does not need a mask to hide behind.
Evil lies within us all its easy to see,
you can read between the lines or ask the blind.
Knock Knock,
Who's there?
A child's innocence
Let it be trick or treat,
treat or trick,
it's not ignorance but, carelessness
that truly is bliss.
